Where do you currently reside?

Rick Laib Headquarters is in beautiful Joliet, Illinois. Fun Fact: During 1995 (two years after graduation) I had 5 different addresses!

Line of work?

Sergeant, Patrol, Will County Sheriff's Office.

What were some of your most memorable experiences in HS?

I really enjoyed working on the Yearbook with the Yearbook/Journalism Staff. Yearbook promotionals gave birth to "The Rick and Dann Show" which was of course a good time.

I'm not sure which was more fun the musicals or the rehearsals! ROTC was something I got into as well.

Although I was never in the band, I really enjoyed the school assemblies. I loved hearing our bands play at parades, school assemblies, and games. We had (have) such a fine music program!

Most memorable experiences after HS?

About a year after graduation I started college. I took classes on and off for about 13 years finally finishing in 2006; that was a pretty big deal for me.

About Me:

I joined the Joliet Central Archives Committee right out of high school and have been giving reunion tours of our school almost every summer since then. I have almost 13 years now with the Sheriff's Office, currently assigned to patrol.

I finished my Bachelor's in English with Teacher Certification two years ago with the University of St. Francis. Someday I would love to return to Central and teach English! I'm currently working on a Master's in Christian Apologetics at Biola University.

I have done almost no traveling. I'm jealous of so many of you who have taken such lofty excursions! Last year I took a tour of Washington DC and had a class for work in the Dallas, TX area. I swore I would do more traveling but no plans as of yet...
